Watched this last night. The wife is out of town for the week and I have some time to kill after putting the kids to bed so figured I would rent a few movies for the week. This book has been recommended to me for quite some time, but I haven't gotten around to reading it. The movie was very good and well done. Not much dialogue at all, but the narrative that Mortensen gives during the movie is great. The emotions brought out are powerful, with the "What would you do......." questions that I found asking myself during the movie.

Anyone on the fence with this should probably rent it. It gives the subwoffer a workout too!

We watched it as well, decent movie, worth a watch for sure. The ending left us thinking WTF just a bit.

The ending was supposed to show that humanity still existed and therefore, hope for mankind. Do you have the fire?

Either that or he was about to be dinner.
