SDA SRS Crossover Plates

Anybody have any ideas on how i can get one of my Crossover Plates black again without ruining the silk screen? I can timesave them and have them hard black anodized, but that of course would be taking off the silk screen.
I know its really not a big deal, but since i am refurbishing them i would like to redo the crossover plate to match. I would really like to keep the silk screen on them, but if not i may just have them hard black anodized.
It looks as if somebody used some cleaning solution on it, and noticed what had happened and did not try the other one.
Larry.

The color difference is not from cleaning. Rather some of the plates naturally turned color while others didn't. Probably the result of different batches from the manufacturer.
There is no way to make it black again without having it anodized again. However, it shouldn't be hard to find a silkscreen company to re-do the lettering.Political Correctness'.........defined

Thanks F1 i really did'nt think there was a way as everything we build at the shop is eather to be plated or painted, Just thought there might be a little trick that someone has done that might work that i don't know about. We have an outside source that has done silk screening for us in the past on some products that we have built i will have to give them a call.
Thanks,

Well since i did not want to destroy the original covers, I decided to make some new ones at the shop with our laser. I made 3 sets one with Diamond plate just for fun, one out of .125 thick and the other out of .187. all made out of aluminum. I will make new handles next week, and have them all Hard Black Anodized. I also called the shop that does our silk screening from time to time, He said bring them down and he will take care of them except the diamond plate one of course, I am going to have them done in red lettering though.
Here are a couple of pics.

Thats pretty cool! I'd do the diamond plate. you might try black shoe polish, don't know how it will turn out, just a thought.

In typical fashion for Larry's work, absolutely stunning. They went viral after that, with many of us here getting replacements made for our own covers. I hear Vr3mods can also supply these. I have contacted Trey and he is in the process of building/replacing my xover cover plates in the very near future.
