Hi,
I had a small setup with a pair of LSI9 and decided to by new pair of LSI15 and LSIc with a Yamaha Z11 amplifier. My question: Can I use the old LSI9 as surround speakers or I have to buy a pair of LSI F/X. And what Sub would you recommend with such setup?
Thanks

In short, yes! You sure can use LSi9 for the surround while LSiF/X is better suited since it's solely designed for surround duty. LSiF/X has Bipole and Dipole radiation selection for surround as well as it's wall mountable and drivers are at 45 degree angle for better surround effects. If you use LSi9 for surround, you need to put it on a stand or something to angle the drivers.

Most subs works well with LSi speakers but I'll leave that to others in the forum. :) You need to decide what you flavor you want for your sub. Do you want accurate bass with good sound quality for music or you want more bass slam for HT for the cheap?

Personally, I used Polk PSW1000, ED A7s-450, and SVS PB/13 Ultra with SMS-1 and all works fine for me.
Trying out Different Audio Cables is a Religious Affair. You don't discuss it with anyone.:biggrin:

Thank you all for your help. I have another question:
The local dealer is proposing to exchange my pair of LSI9 with a pair of LSI F/X. Should I go for it? is it a good deal or should I keep my LSI9?
Local dealer is proposing the Sub DSW pro 600 but you recommended the 1000. Which one should I go for? Assuming that I am a "classical music" listener and like quite music...Low Bass :)
    Thanks again
