Are spikes interchangeable?

I have RTiA5's with the sharp metal spikes. I would prefer not to use them, they seem like they would damage the carpet. Do they?

I prefer the spikes on the RTi8's. Would they be swappable? and if so, anybody want to give up their RTi8 spikes? (or know where I can get some)

They are called carpet spikes. The whole point is to pierce the carpet and make contact with something solid. I have no idea if they are interchangable with another model.

    Hi Todd.

Put something flat between the spikes and the carpet. Like, ceramic tile or 1/2" MDF (fibre board).

Thanks, the reason I like the RTi8 spikes better, is they don't really pierce the carpet. I need spikes to level out my speakers, they lean just a tad due to carpte and pad. I think it would help just enough.

Almost all spikes from Polk have been 1/4-20 threads.
