Shopping for a friend in Houston. I'm in Dallas, and will be going there before long. She needs an entire 5.1 system: fronts, center, surrounds, sub, receiver. Her budget is in the neighborhood of $1500. Color of all speakers must be black.
If you are looking to unload an entire system, live in Dallas, Houston, or the immediate surrounding areas of either, let me know what you have, and what you want for it.
Canadian brands are particularly desirable, as of course are nice Polk, Def Tech, and NHT systems.

Talking about Canadian brands... she can go all-around with Paradigm Studio 20s and matching center (CC-590 or Studio Center, if I remember correctly). V2 would definitely be in her price range. Not sure how much that will leave for the sub...Panasonic PT-AE4000U projector for movies

Someone in Ft Worth just sold a Studio 20 V2 setup, with the Ref Studio center, mini monitor surrounds, and the Servo 15 sub, with a Pioneer Elite receiver and dvd player (that last not worth much). Asking was 2k. If she'd requested a system a couple of days earlier, she might have had it. Dang. -
I have Polk RTi70's, CSi30, R50's or R15's for surrounds, SVS PCi25-31. HK AVR7200, Sony DVD (200disc) and CD (400disc) magazines.
RTi's and CSi30 are in Houston, the rest in DFW. -
The package price - $1225
