PS3 lossless format question

I was just wondering what format(s) of lossless audio can I play/load on my PS3? I've always done my music in 256-320kbs MP3, but since joining this forum and getting my first pair of polks, I've learned MP3 isn't the way to go when it comes to "ultimate" SQ. I'm not going to go back and re-rip my collection, but I gotta start somewhere:D I intend to start using some sort of lossless method from now on though. Anywho, so what would be my best bet?
Sony 40" LCD
Sony DVPCX995V
Sony PS3(games/media server)
Sony PS2
WD TV Live with 3TB
Sanyo VCR
Marantz SR6003
Polk 11T(xover/RDO)
RM20 5 pack
OWM 5
DUAL Micro Pro 1000
Combastard Cable
Harmony One
When rapture comes, can I have your car?

Why not go future proof and leave them as complete music and just do it linear?
Storage is so cheap, why waste time packing them in any form, only to find out the fad has changed and you need to start again?
CoolJazzA so called science type proudly says... "I do realize that I would fool myself all the time, about listening conclusions and many other observations, if I did listen before buying. That’s why I don’t, I bought all of my current gear based on technical parameters alone, such as specs and measurements."
More amazing Internet Science Pink Panther wisdom..."My DAC has since been upgraded from Mark Levinson to Topping." -
FLAC if you intend to use media centers to stream into PS3, WAV if you're planning to use PS3 straight.

+1 on sami's post.. I suggest you look at Tversity or ps3MediaServer.

Yea also +1 sami post, and if you go flac that compresses the file smaller than wav but loses no quality plus contrary to what cool jazz said flac is easily convertable so if you need a quick mp3 for a mp3 player you can use the original source flac file to convert it with a converter program (just search google)
