Help with Vinyl

Hi everyone, sorry if this is in the wrong area. I recent got into Vinyl and do not know anything about it. Can anyone post a link to a good site that examples all the different types of Vinyl (like differnet grams) and a good site to find out about Turn Tables. I've seen a lot of good reviews with pro ject but again don't know enough.

thanks for looking at the post but i'm looking for info on what makes a good TT and what is the difference between the different types of vinyl LP's (200 grams vs 180 grams or anything like that.) again thanks for all the help that anyone gives.
