    Pic?? Model # ??

The Series 2 were the last iteration of the Monitor Series and used an sl2500 (trilaminate tweeter) which replaced the sl2000. This tweeter was similar in properties to the sl3000. The specs and driver configs as well as the model numbers all remained the same.

Those are Monitor 5B series II and for $80 that's a great deal. Provided the cab's aren't beat to death..........even then if all the driver's function it's a good deal.

They are Monitor 5 - series II speakers...

For a set with a damaged corner - $80 is not a omfg deal (compared to what others sell for) but not bad at all. Compared to spending $80 on almost any other speaker - they are well worth the price. (I would still offer him $50 just to see if he would take it though)

I have monitor 10 series II's and really like them. If you want to set up a bedroom, basement or garage system, these would sound great. They would not be bad for a main system either, but you would need other monitor Series II speakers to voicematch everything....

I guess I would rate them as not a steal, but a great speaker if you are in the market for something a little different.

The fact that they are local and no shipping is involved I still say it's a good price (that's worth a little extra). But as McLoki says, offer him less and see if he bites. The photos aren't that great so maybe wait until you see them in person before negotiating.

    Oh.... meh.

I was hoping they were something cooler than that. I've seen Monitor 5s show up for $50 and under in at least this good of shape, i just wasn't familiar with the "Monitor 2" designation on the sticker for some reason.

I sold my VS-25s, and i don't have any Polks in use at the moment, just idly looking for something to play with, maybe even make new cabinets for.

I'll offer him $50 and see if he bites.

Thanks for the info guys, i appreciate it. :)
