I wonder what their property is like since they need to shoot tresspassers? For some reason, I am envisioning a rundown shack, or a beatup trailer, with a yard full of abandonded cars, and other assorted junk items.

Also, was it ever legal to shoot people just for being on your property? Or is this a Texas thing?

DeFoor said Sheila Muhs then called 911 and told the dispatcher: "They're out here tearing up the levee, so I shot them."

DeFoor said the levee belonged to the subdivision and was not private property.

It would normally take a makeup artist around 4 or 5 hours to get an actor to look that bad on a movie set  That dudes skin looks decomposed.

I also agree with Lorthos....may they rot in hell....

The State of Texas has a pretty swift-moving death row, don't they?

Not a good place to shoot and kill someone, IMO ;).

    Makes you wonder...
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?

Sounds like they were trying to invoke the law that allowed Joe Horn to go free (Texas Penal Code § 9.41., § 9.42., and § 9.43.which justifies the use of deadly force to protect property). They were only "protecting" property so they could blow those folks away...legally...according to them. Time for that law to get a long hard look. These people need to never see the outside of a jail again for as long as the state of TX allows them to live.

I think that law is just fine so long as you use common sense.

You find somebody trying to break into your house - shoot em. You find somebody breaking out the windows to your car - shoot em. You see somebody walking across your yard instead of staying on the sidewalk - maybe use some discretion.

PROTECTING property says it all. If Im on your property Im not damaging it therefore you cant shoot me. Now if Im breaking out a window in your house while trying to break in, thats a different story.

I havent read the law in its entirety, but I highly doubt someone being on your property is valid enough reason to shoot them.

Those 2 need to be shot. "THEY" are the ones trespassing by just being on this planet.

Wasnt referring to them - just to the law in general. Obviously a couple 7 year olds taking a leak somewhere in the woods doesnt qualify as endangering your property.
