DSW Pro 500

I just got this sub and it's really good. (Compared to my HTIB sub). The only problem I have is that it does not seem to auto detect the LFE channel when set to auto. I have it hooked up to an Onkyo 606 receiver. My old sub automatically came on but this one doesn't. Anyone have this sub with this problem?

My guess is it's in your receiver setting. I have never messed around with an Onkyo receiver, But i had to change the settings in my Pioneer.
I do have the 500 as well and it is set to auto.
Maybe someone with an Oynko will chime in. -
You may have to turn up your sub's level db setting on your receiver, so that it sends a stronger signal to your sub.
That's one of the answers I have heard when people have this problem. Mine is at 15db and it works perfect, but from what I hear a setting as high as mine could cause the sub to distort depending on how good of a receiver you have.Denon 1909, want to upgrade for pre outs

This is a common problem with these subs. I just leave mine set to on all the time & turn off the led.Marantz AV-7705 PrePro, Classé 5 channel 200wpc Amp, Oppo 103 BluRay, Rotel RCD-1072 CDP, Sony XBR-49X800E TV, Polk S60 Main Speakers, Polk ES30 Center Channel, Polk S15 Surround Speakers SVS SB12-NSD x2

Thanks for you help guys. I guess it's an issue with Onkyo Receiver and the Polk sub. I'll set it to standby mode and turn it on and off automatically with my Logitech universal remote.
