My 3 year old just stuck orange silly putty all over my remote for my new Pioneer Elite receiver, which I have owned about a month now....IT WILL NOT COME OFF EASILY. Somebody suggested putting it in the freezer (?), but this does not sound like the best idea. PLEASE ADVISE or I may have to reduce my W2 withholding by 1 dependent........

I just found this on "Wikihow". I think the best advice it last one, #5.

    For surfaces themselves:

    1. If the surface is white or otherwise colorfast, apply bleach spray or rubbing alcohol to surface. Otherwise, use the clearest soap available.
    2. Use soap/bleach to wipe surface. Rinse.
    3. Reapply cleanser to surface. Scrub with sponge/cloth. Rinse.
    4. Repeat as needed.
    5. Be proactive. Don't let anyone bring the fu***** sh** into your house in the first place.
(Alright, now that I got that off my chest, I'll try the WD 40...thanks)

    FACE,
You rock man....all the putty is now off the remote. Plus, a side bonus to the WD-40 is that now the remote smells more "manly", so hopefully it will ward off the kids from touching it in the future. Thanks a ton....
