I spoke with Polk C/S today about repairing the finish on my LSi15's. I was told that the piano black finish is actually automotive grade base coat/clear coat paint! I checked with a body shop here in town and they told me they would be happy to refinish them the next time they shoot a black car. all I will need to do is color sand and buff!

You know what that means, right? You can put some carnauba wax down on those puppies! Just about anything with a durable clearcoat will take to it very well, and it sounds like the LSis are a perfect candidate. Try a very fine non-cleaner automotive wax or even a polish on a tiny spot (if there is a hidden spot). Get those fingerprints and fine scratches off and say hello to the highest gloss you've seen on them.
