Qs about DSW-pro600 hooked to Elite SC-05

Hey People,

Anyone know why there's no separate sub plug-in or control on this receiver (it comes out the Center channel pre-)? Or have i just not found it yet? : o

I would love to play "pure-direct" stereo, sub assisted, but it turns the sub off in that mode (because it turns off the Center channel where the sub is plugged in - seems kinda dumb to me, but maybe I just don't know something...) Any ideas?

Also, there's just one plug dedicated to a sub on the receiver, but the sub itself has 2 rca ins.. how best to hook this puppy up ?

    Go into your settings and set the sub to PLUS, as far as the sub just put the RCA in the left channel. It really don't matter there but i put mine into the left channel. There should be a sub connection on the back of your receiver.

    I just looked at pictures of the back of the SC-05, your sub out is in your preout area same as my SC-07.

    Hey Thanks so much for responding and looking into it!! I found the speaker set-up menu - and it has the "plus" feature in the manual (p.57) - but couldn't find the SW bit after scrolling through... thinking it might be an SC-07-only feature (which doesn't make sense - but what the hell!). That's what I get going all cheap and not gettin' yours or the sc-09 right!? : O

    I discovered the sub DOES play in the "Direct" mode w/o activating the center-channel...(just not the 'Pure Direct' mode...)

    Correct!!


    The SC-05 has that feature to set your sub to PLUS, It took me a few to figure out the settings and features as well. The SC-05 is a great receiver don't under estimate your purchase just yet. read the manual and go through the features.


    Go to: System Setup
    Then to: Manual SP Setup
    Then to: Speaker Setup
    Then go down to SW (SubWoofer) go right or left with the arrows till you see it say PLUS. and your ready to go.
