Trying to Install W7RC

So, I just stumbled across a free PC here at school and am trying to install Windows 7RC 32-bit. It has a Biostar P4M80-M7 motherboard along with a 2.66GHz P4 and 1GB of RAM.
At any rate, I burned the ISO onto a DVD, stuck it in the DVD drive, rebooted, and the computer refuses to boot from the DVD. I checked the BIOS settings, and it's set with the CD-ROM drive as the first boot device. Then after it actually booted back into XP, I went to My Computer to see what I could do with the DVD at that point, and it won't even acknowledge that there's any content on the DVD. It just brings up a blank window.
What in the world should I do at this juncture? I'm at a loss for ideas.
Any advice you could throw my way would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

Nevermind. Apparently my friend failed at actually burning the .iso onto the disc, resulting in my trying to install Windows 7 from a blank DVD-R. Just fyi, that won't work.George Grand wrote: »

Typical Windows crap. Any decent OS will install from a blank DVD.Lumin X1 file player, Westminster Labs interconnect cable
Sony XA-5400ES SACD; Pass XP-22 pre; X600.5 amps
Magico S5 MKII Mcast Rose speakers; SPOD spikes
Shunyata Triton v3/Typhon QR on source, Denali 2000 (2) on amps
Shunyata Sigma XLR analog ICs, Sigma speaker cables
Shunyata Sigma HC (2), Sigma Analog, Sigma Digital, Z Anaconda (3) power cables
Mapleshade Samson V.3 four shelf solid maple rack, Micropoint brass footers
Three 20 amp circuits. -

is it up and running now? btw, IMGBURN is the most consistent, always work, free program to use, anytime you need to burn ISO file.I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie. -
Yep, I'm up and running on my new free desktop as well as my laptop. I tried burning the DVD first using IMGBURN, but it errored out, so I got my friend to do it for me after that. However, after he failed at it as well, I gave it another go and it actually worked.George Grand wrote: »
