I think the RTiA line of speakers sounds great. The VM series goes well with a flat screen TV, but the sound is not thier strongest point. (in my opinion - I have demoed them, but not listened in home. Based on what I heard, I would purchase the RTiA and never even consider the VM's....

    Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
    Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
    Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
    Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
    Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms)

I don't think I've ever seen anyone here talk about the VM series, at least as an owner. There are always questions about them (and RM-xx) but they generally go unanswered. I don't know for sure if that's because they aren't good, but I know I'd get the RTi A5 and never look back. :)
    Currently listening to:

    Marantz SR5004
    Sony BDP-S370
    Apple TV V2
    Audio Technica AT-LP120
    Mirage CMD-5 x 5
    Bic H-100

With something like the VM's, you're going to give away performance in lieu of a small enclosure. I own the RTi A5's and have been impressed since day one. My vote would definitely be the A5's

    Fronts: Energy RC-70
    Center: Energy RC-LCR
    Surrounds: Energy Veritas 1.0CM
    Subwoofer: SVS PC12-NSD
    Receiver: Onkyo TX-SR705
    Amplifier: Denon POA-2200 w/ Ben's ICs

wow, thank you all for your fast replies and help.
    I will buy the RTIA5.
I have the RM85 and I bought the FXIA4 for the surround. Now I want to change the central speaker for a VM20 because I'm getting a very good price ($170).
Do you suggest me to buy the VM20 (central)? (the CSI4 is double of price)

    thanks

You will remember you got a center that does not match your fronts much longer than you will remember the savings....

Wait for a good sale and run a phantom center as long as needed until you can swing the one that matches... (RTiA4, RTiA6, CSi3 or CSi5)

thanks again. Sorry but my noobie question, but is it important to buy all front speakers (front+center) of the same line? It will be a lot of difference between central VM20 and CSI4?

    thanks

Yes - you want your front 3 speakers to match. (be from the same line)

Depending on your seating and speaker arrangements - you may like running without a center channel so it may at least be worth while to try just the RTiA5's first before you spend the money on a center. (personally - I usually like a center channel in a home theater, but others whose opinion I respect, have had good luck without one.)

There is benefit from all speakers in your theater matching, but the rear speakers are the least important for this. (i.e. - upgrade your rears last if money is an issue)

    wow thanks McLoki.
I will pass the VM20. You saved me money :D. Now I need to wait good deals for RTIA5 and CSI4. The big problem is I'm from Canada and it's akmost impossible to get good deals here. If I buy from USA I will pay insane rates for shipping and also high custom charges.

    thanks
