Need help on how to recover a partition i deleted. Basically i have 2 drives. I was re-installing XP because 7 was giving me issues. In the process i accidently deleted the partition on my backup drive. i caught it a nano second after i hit delete. Now i didnt format the drive so i know the data has to be there. Google isnt giving me a whole lot other than Buy Me Software. If i have to i will buy some software but there has to be a free way.

Any help is appreciated.

You can download this for free and install it on the drive that is NOT missing the partition.

    http://www.runtime.org/data-recovery-products.htm

If you see the partition you can then purchase the product to recover it.

If all you want is to recover the data, with or without the partition, then you might have some luck with this free software:

    http://www.pcinspector.de/default.htm?language=1

I forget the specifics, but I think it may be able to recover files even if partitions have been deleted. I wouldn't hurt to try ...
