I can't think of any reason that wouldn't work, but I don't think that much:D I've thought about that myself, but I'm too broke to even have the speakers to try it with:( Good luck!

not trying to be funny John, but i guess centers were meant to be centers and surrounds were meant to be surrounds, but hey, if it sounds good to your ears....enjoy!

surround sound is for mostly ambience sound. Center speakers should work fine for surround duty.

just think of the fun you will have telling folks you have three centers and making them figure out where to sit>>>>

    great idea.

Does anyone use a double center channel setup in their HT system currently?

By this I mean to front and center!

I was tossing the idea around getting a 2 channel amp and splitting the pre out and having to centers. I figure since that is the most important piece of the HT system there should be 2 the same way there are to fronts (L/R). You could have up and down centers.

    Rocco,

There are two fronts because it was done that way with stereo music, now in a HT setup each front can have a discreet track, but the center only has one discreet track on thie disc, Polk made a huge powered center the cs1000p you may want to see if you can buy a used one, otherwise you can use all the centers you want but they are only going to play the same thing, once the system is properly balanced it would seem to be a waste.

I wonder if that center would be a good match with the new RTI line?

I doubt i would find one anyway.

Its not perfectly voice matched to the new RTi stuff but was made to work with the RT line-ups from past runs.
