I'm able to get the Audio Zone D-2 mono blocks at an excellent price and was wondering if the LSi sound good powered with a digital amp? I want to get a pair of LSi25.

Only your ears can decide that Organ. The opinions on digital amps are all over the map. Try it for yourself & let us know.

My Onkyo A9555 sounds fine with my LSi-9's. Definitely not bright or hard sounding. If anything, the sound is a bit rolled off on top, which I attribute to the ring radiator tweeter, not the digital amp.

    Cathy,
Yeah I think I'll give them a try first. My dealer says I can try them out for a week.

    Dougy,
Good to hear. I have the LSi9 and the ring radiators do sound more laid back and polite.

    RT1,
Have to go SS for this one man. I don't have the money for a Godzilla tube amp to power the LSi:(.

You've got a great dealer there, Organ. Have fun with the demo.

Yeah. He's super cool. Been going there for years now. Most of my equipments are from him. He also carries used gear, so crazy and rare stuff always shows up.

Reading the stuff on the NuForce amps really got my interest. The ones I plan to get use an analog PS which they claim sounds more powerful.
