have a chance for a really good buy on a sc-07. do think the ice amp would sound better than the adcom ?? or should i keep the adcom and use the 07 as a pre amp??

I'd say, if you can afford it, hold onto the Adcom, till you hear what the Pioneer can handle in your system and sell it if you think the Pioneer can cover you! The Adcom is going to have some more power.

Yeah, never get rid of something you already like to be replaced by something you've never heard. Me personally I'd keep the Adcom and run the SC07 both as a pre and then as a receiver and see which one you prefer; give it about 30 days to make an evaluation.

agreed, thing is i could probably recoup the cost by selling what i got. but the thought of losing the adcom does concern me the extra space would be nice and the new 07 processing would be grand. even as i write this i already know i wouldn't get rid of the adcom lol

If that's the case, pick up the SC-05 as a pre and save yourself some bucks in the end.

Or if you buy the 07 and if after you tried it you don't like it. I'm sure someone in here would buy it.I am looking to get one myself.
