He is now International, instead of Nationwide. :D

CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    Is that a cape he's wearing ?

Braddles, I'm sure F1 didn't ask for anything in return for his help (Yeah, he's one of THOSE type of people), but ..... I bet he'd get a big kick out of a .... hmmmm .... pet koala bear. I imagine they fit quite nicely in a UPS/Fedex box. Couple of carrots for the inflight trip, couple of air holes in the side, and ....... Yes, that's a swell idea. ;)

First impressions are that they seem more controlled than before. Maybe a little bit too much. Seem to have lost some of the upper mids / lower highs.
More "polite" sound is a good description.
A more subdued sound than im used to. Soundstage a bit wider and further back as are vocals.

Will let them run in for a while and see if they liven up a little.

Is this normal? I thought they would be a tad bright to start with if anything.

They take a real long time to burn in. When ever I do work for Polkies I ask the to refrain from posting till they have time on them. Jesse is top notch.

I got these from War Audio here in Perth Australia. The guy who runs the place builds his own hi end speakers and uses them and said they were pretty good for the money. Any feedback from over there? Have i used the wrong brand?

Some like them, others don't. They can be considered a little harsh with some tweeters. Other caps in that price range are Dayton/Bennic and Claritycap SA's.
