A little high. IMO That is more like 1C territory.
I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

a bit on the high side IMHO but if they are local for you not to bad... I like that the "internet" cable is still there.... he meant interconnect cable. If you can get them for 250/300 bucks so much the better

Agreed with nooshin. However, I believe there was a pair of SDA 2 for sale in the Greater Los Angeles area... http://losangeles.craigslist.org/sgv/ele/1148213476.html

Also, I am selling my SDA 2A pair for $200 if you're interested. I am in 91214. I suppose I can spare my IC cable with it too.

Thank you noos. I understand what your saying, but this is my first look at purchasing vintage speakers. Not certain yet where I'm taking this thought?:confused:Might be looking for something to bring back from the dead as a learning experience. :)

anything to help, and with Enders set you can most likely get a start on them by rebuilding the crossovers and upgrading the tweeters. Correct me if I am wrong Ender, but yours have not been upgraded have they?

$200-$225 would be more reasonable, POI. I have two sets of 1A's and paid about $500 for both sets.
Note: They have a TALL sound stage. Some folks like, it some don't. Trust your ears on these. They can be tamed though.

No I have not upgraded anything yet. I just started by fixing up the binding posts of my SRS 2 using the posts that doro sent me. Next, I will work on some stands for a pair of Monitor 10B. I'm only edging my way into the DIY, not jumping head first (especially since I don't have the funds to purchase a solid soldering set).

I would take these, but you are to far away... but I can say Ender seems to be a good egg.

Ender is solid for sure. I have dealt with him, and talked with him.
    Ben
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks

Lol. Well, that's too bad nooshin. I would love to get rid of these since I am storing them in my sister's room and they are taking up space that she will be using very soon during the summer.

And thanks for the vouches and votes of confidence. :)

California is SDA central. If I were you I'd skip those speakers and look for

    1.2tl's
    2.3tl's
    SRS 2's
    1c's
    2b's

Perhaps more so than other areas, but California is large (just because a pair appears in SF, doesn't mean an LA resident has the time to drive all the way up before someone more local grabs the pair), has expensive gas compared to other states, contains more people who are likely to grab first dibs on such speakers, AND personally, I have been looking for the past 4-6 months, and I have only seen one 2.3TL (of those that you listed and that were in the LA area). If you count the SF area, the true SDA central, the only other pair I have seen are the SRS 2, which I got only because I came up the weekend I saw them for sale.

FYI, I bought a pair with real walnut veneer and SL2000 tweeters off of ebay with a local pick up (35miles) for $267.00 and was very happy all around. I have come to the conclusion that I really prefer the "studio" style of cabinet over the top and bottom "slab" versions, that's not to say that I think they're ugly ! My SRSIIs are slab style, and the way they sound, I wouldn't care what they look like !! If you can get them for a lower offer, they could always be back-ups to whatever other SDAs or SRSs you end up with !:)
