DTS Master audio & SDA SRS 2.3 in HT

Does anyone report any issues with BluRay audio in the DTS Master format. The issue that I have is that the audio can be abrasive unless it is turned down and then the bass goes to H***. I find that there is no problem with standard DVD audio in any format. Must be the diff between compressed and non compressed audio formats. Anybody have any suggestions for solving the issue such as upgrading the crossovers or drivers. Really love my 2.3's and hate to think that I would have to get another set of speakers just for BluRay audio.

If you still have the SL2000 tweeters, I would recommend upgrading to the RD0194-1 tweeters.Political Correctness'.........defined

DTS sound tracks run real low. If the mains are set to full they can suffer from subsonic bass. I don't care what speakers you run DTS can wreak havoc. I literally tore the cone off of an 800wrms 15" Dayton Titanic Mark III sub with the gain set a we bit high on War of the Worlds chapter 13;)Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

Try them small and see what I am talking about.
I have updated the tweets with RD0194-1. "Maimi Vice" is one movie (freeway scene at the beginning to save friend with helo tracking) that is tough on the mains and they are set to small. I get too much bass in the room with bass "plus", too boomy. Just that some tracks with DTS are murder on the mains. One solution that I have found that helps is to engage THX Cinema 2. And like I said, no issues with plain standard DVD.

I had some issues with uncompressed Dolby True HD, but not nasty highs, just muddy and bassy dialog. It's since fixed through a firmware patch. I'm kind of with Tracy on this one. Run the SDAs large and back the subs off unless you've got the 10db issue with the LFE channel. I run my sub flat (72db vs 75db) in sealed mode and at 70dbs vs 75dbs in 15hz mode. The SDAs handle deep and midbass with plenty of slam and the sub just accents the room without ever going into stress at major volumes...never a hint at being out of balance. Try letting your mains handle most of the front frequency response and see if that helps. Your 2.3s should be more than capable.

I believe that I have solved most of my problem. The first thing that was wrong was that I calibrated my setup with the interconnect cable in place. I have the "Dreadnaught" and it does as more dimension than a ordinary cable. Secondly, I had it connected all the time. I reran MCACC and have left the cable off for movie & TV watching. When watching movies, I unplug the cable from the transformer. Thanks for a nice interconnect unit Ben, it does the job better than expected.
