THIS MAY BE A STUPID QUESTION BUT I WILL JUST THROW IT OUT THERE ANYWAY - GUY I WORK WITH IS FINISHING UP A '76 280Z RESTO - IT WILL BE A STREET/TRACK CAR SO HE WANTS SOME TUNES - JUST NOTHING CRAZY - ANYWAY HE WANTS TO JUST PUT SOME 6X9s IN REMOVABLE BOXES IN THE REAR
SO LONG STORY SHORT - THE QUESTION IS HOW WOULD IT SOUND IF I PUT A 6X9 COMPONENT SET IN - AND MOUNTED THE TWEETERS AT THE FRONT OF THE CAR - WOULD THIS HELP TO PULL THE SOUND STAGE FORWARD - OR JUST SOUND WEIRD AND OUT OF PHASE?

Having tweeters up front and everything else in the back would not pull your stage up. It would probably just put it on top of you with images coming from everywhere.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

Thats kind of what i was afraid of - he doesn't have anywhere for speakers in the front - so i guess as long as he doesn't mind all the sound coming from behind him just the 6x9s in the rear will be fine

Hell, some tunes are better than no tunes. I drove a Suzuki Samurai for over 2 years with nothing but 6x9's in boxes behind the seats powered by a 100x2 Pioneer amp. Didnt have the perfect stage but still sounded good to me!polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005
