Purchased new in November at J&R Music World for about $340.

9/10 , no scratches or flaws. Pretty light play. I'm just looking for an upgrade.
Good full bass, I'll just looking to drown out the neighbor's kids a little more.:D

$200 obo, local pickup preferred.

If he is serious about Polk like I am, he will constantly comb the "For Sale" section of the forums even when he is suppose to be working. :D

I'm interested, however the closest I will be getting to Brooklyn anytime soon is a trip to Baltimore / DC area end of the first week of May.

cnh was just recommending that I save my pennies for one of these at the begining of the week.

If you don't mind shipping we could definately work something out.

Ouch, just bought a 505 several weeks ago after searching for one used for many months -- and I live in the DC area.

    Oh well!

Sorry fellas, the PSW 505 has been sold!
A boy of mine is going to drop of the cash and take it out of here ( saving me the shipping) soon after my SVS PB12-NSD replacement comes later today.:D

Heads up, I'm about to post my Polk csia3 center in cherry!

I will certainly ship if anyone is interested?

That's a nice upgrade (replacement) there. We're all envious! My Boston A. sub is very close to the PSW505 in ability...maybe just a tad better but not in that SVS category.

    Enjoy...

    Thank Cnh,
I will soon find out as it just arrived.
    This mothasucka is big!
Customer service already seems outstanding, I just got a lengthy e-mail follow up to a previous question today. These nuts on Polk Forums made me pull the trigger!
The experience thus far is already reminding me of my other bargain hi-fi company, emotiva. Well, the proof is in the pudding and Friday is perfect timing to demo this baby!:D:D

I'm thinking about getting the same sub. I might hold out for the pb-13 ultra, but that would really be a big jump in price. Let us know how much better the NSD is compared to the polk psw505.
Denon 1909, want to upgrade for pre outs
    Fronts-polk RTi A5
    center-polk CSi A4
    Sides Polk FXi A6
    rears- polk rm8's
    sub-SVS pb-13 ultra
    Blue ray-ps3
    Panasonic plasma 50 inch
Buttkicker(don't use or need it anymore since getting the Ultra)

Hey Bevo, I just got the SVS PB12-NSD early this evening, so to be quite honest, I haven’t fully tested yet.

However, I can say right out of the box it is colossal compared to my PSW 505! When I first set it up using the Onkyo auto-calibration, I really had a bit of trouble feeling the SVS. I did bit of tweaking, and I have to admit that I’m very new at this. I’m very much an unashamed apprentice given I was an HTIB/Circuit City kind of cat less than a year ago! Dam, I can’t believe I used to buy that ****!

I really don’t veer to far off of the auto-calibrated settings since again I’m still learning how to identify the optimal setting. I called SVS for advice and spoke with Eric who was pretty helpful. I really wasn’t used to bass that is a lot cleaner that what the PSW 505 delivered. Don’t get me wrong, I really enjoyed the 505, but like any “upgrades” if you really listen, you start looking and know there is “better.” I also had the intuitive feeling that the PSW 505 was never a good mate for my Rtia5’s. It was certainly confirmed after seeking a bit of insight on the Polk forum.

Getting back to the PB-12, I would already say that It was a tremendous buy! Thus far with not even a day under my belt on the PB12 NSD, I couldn’t go back to the 505. I can say also say that after listening to my new PB12, I can better identify the mid-bass that my Rti a5 are responsible for. I’m diggin’ my new sub, I can’t wait to watch some movie tomorrow!
Btw, SVS customer service is really first class! I like the fact that if I ever see the “need” to upgrade, a lifetime customer service follows this unit no matter who is the owner.
btw, I asked Eric about the difference between the 13 and 12 , he basically said that the 13 would be an even cleaner sound. I went with cost as being a major factor, I don’t know if I will ever be able to notice something lacking with my current Rti a5’s. I am however upgrading to the Csi a6 center. Can’t wait to hear the difference!
