Got my sub to hit MUCH harder

New drivers for the VMPS sub finally arrived today the first 2 dropped right in and as usual the last one required getting out the router.......WOW quite an improvement...now I know why its called the mega woofer....pictures show the original drivers and the upgraded ones....

    How do they compare to SVS,Epik,and HSU subs?

    If they are new and never used you will get even more base after the break in!

    I have only heard a few HSU subs and the VMPS sounds much better.....havent listened to the other 2....it replaced a M&K sub that sounded very good too...........

    yuppers and very well built.....a huge improvement over the original drivers...even the passive has a better design as I would bottom out the original passive once in awhile...

    Thanks.....that M&K you have is a very nice sub..I think the M&K subs are a fantastic value especially for what you can pick them up for used............still have my M&K in the spare speaker room............

    Thanks, I bought it way back in 98 for music only.
    For HT I have Klipsch THX Ultra2 KW-120 subwoofers.

    Do you happen to have any pics from the back ?

    Woven carbon fiber ..... I imagine it might be possible to tear them, but the windows blowing out of their frames would be a good warning sign that you're close to over-driving them. :)

    sorry no rear shots.....for HT they do rock the house..........
