I am selling my BAT VK-3ix with six-pak and super-pak mods; and, my Emerald Physics CS2s are in their final weeks of use. I've pulled out the boxes and will be preparing them for shipping shortly. They've been traded-in.
It's upgrade time! Wooh Hooh!! Not that I prefer a recession, but man it really opens buyers up to previously unattainable levels in performance thanks to some price-cuts.
That is all.
Mike

I'm confused about the OP and the thread title. There has got to be some interesting logic between the two here.
-
You would have to be familiar with the OP for it to make sense.
SS, your next choice of speakers has me very curious."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche -
Emerald Physics CS1's. I would imagine any way..

It's af if there was some sort of pool to guess the day he'd trade in his speakers.... (and, no, I don't know the op, nor did I have that date...) -
That didn't take long Mike.Michael
In the beginning, all knowledge was new!

That didn't take long Mike.
I had to seize the moment. This will be a good upgrade. -
The Post Title makes perfect sense to me, which is a bit scary.
Enjoy the ride.

If Mike is stepping up to the new CS1 then I'm okay with the move.

Actually, my speakers out perform the CS1s -
You must have got Bose -
You sick SOB- Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit. -
Most likely something from Dynaudio. Ah, to be insanely spoiled... Whatever the new system turns out to be, I hope you enjoy it for the month or so that you own it.
I kept the CS2s for over a year and a half. -

What's this a new Emmy speaker? What else could they be coming out with? Hmmmm?
It seems to be a 12 inch woofer with a compression driver mounted in the center? Wow, it's like the woofer is the waveguide for the tweeter.
Imagine if they did this and added two fifteen inch woofers underneath for the low-end . . . now that would be a three-way I would buy. -
It's hard to beat dual concentric(true point source) speakers for imaging and soundstage."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. And when you gaze long into an abyss the abyss also gazes into you." Friedrich Nietzsche

wtf? Didn't you just purchased them a few months ago? You are a madman!
Did you get the new speakers yet? -

Forget the beer man. Bring him a couple bottles of vodka. Wait for him to get pissed drunk and take the speakers home. He won't remember the next day;). -

Here are my new speakers!!!!!
Emerald Physics CS2.3
The second generation CS2 is here! The new CS2.3 is another radical step forward and a worthy successor to the legendary CS2. With its new 12" point source professional driver system, the CS2.3 is now a true 3-way, bi-amplified, dipole speaker design. Cutting edge sonic performance establishes a new level of realism and dimensionality.
The innovation continues in the Bass range with our new Aperture Bass Propagation technology. This proprietary system is used for both 15" dipole woofers, improving low frequency power and linearity, while retaining all the speed and articulation of the original CS2. DSP equalization and active crossover functions are provided by the included Behringer DCX2496 Digital Processor. You can now upgrade to the optional DBX PX processor which provides automatic room correction and American made quality.
Available in real Mahogany, Cherry, Maple and Black wood finishes.

Argg, it was so obvious. And I said Dynaudio? *smacks forehead*.
I heard the CS3's a couple months back. Good stuff. Enjoy your new CS2.3's bud.
I will Definitely get a pair of big Danes down the road. I love those speakers and have been in awe of their sound. The reason I stick to the Emmys is that I can achieve that big massive high-end sound without the big price tag. -
They are in the house now?
Congrats Mike!
They haven't made their way here yet. The photo is from the website, but I will be receiving them shortly. -
Something interesting, Clayton had a breakthrough designing the center-channel for his new surround sound system which led to the new technology behind the CS3 and CS2.3. Walter Liederman, indicated the CS2.3 sounds better than the CS1, and to expect a complete design overhaul of the CS1.
-
Congrats!
I had a feeling you would be going with some new Emmy's. I was unaware of the new models though. Figured it would be the CS1's.
