Hi,

What sources are people using for SACD and DVD-A? Digging through all the google links is kind of time consuming, so if people have some good sources, please share. If the thread goes any where, it might even be worth making sticky...

I am going to recommend a couple of overseas SACD e-tailers.....

    hifi-cd.com
This is a Hong Kong-based e-tailer that I've been using for the last 3 years, if not more. I know some people are wary of buying anything from that region of the world, but hifi-cd.com is the real deal. On its website are many SACD titles that are hard-to-find or unavailable in the US. Shipping is about US$3.00 per disc and they ship really fast....in my case, usually around one week from HK to California. One time, I ordered a SACD that inadvertently got loose within the jewel case and got lightly scratched on the play side of the disc. Hifi-cd.com replaced the SACD without question after I e-mailed them. I believe Club Polk member fatchowmein is also a satisfied customer as well.

    HMV Japan

Since many SACD are only released in Japan, this is a great source for these titles. However, it has also become a great source for getting Japanese editions of hard-to-find US SACD titles, such as the SACD of Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Couldn't Stand the Weather". Shipping is very fast as well. Prices are kind of high but that's the nature of the Japanese music market.

HOLY CRAP! SRV ON SACD? Thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you (repeat about another infinity times)

    /me scurries off to HMV

Been using mostly amazon. Fry's doesn't seem to have very much in their stores, and I've never been brave enough to order anything from them on line considering the heinous service I get in person.

Comments in the for sale forum like "this is not a forum for selling goods" just make me fall out of my chair laughing. They really do. Convinces me these people are talking just to hear themselves, but even they don't listen to themselves because they're so childish and boring.

One thing I definitely won't be buying now, due to his attitude here, is ben62670's cables. Congrats dude, you lost multiple sales. I'd use lamp cord and monster before I bought from you. And considering that I found out about your cables through this forum, where you posted some for sale, well, the hypocrisy is mind-boggling, to say the least.

There. Now I've had my say. From now on, anyone that **** because someone posted something for sale, but had not yet begged the approval of the great and mighty Polk Forum Clique Leaders goes on the **** nozzle list and then we can all just ignore each other and life will be beautiful, birds will sing, and just perhaps, upon occasion, the heavens will open and an angel will deign to sing the occasional hosanna, that we may bask in the glory.
