Vintage Repair Recomendation

I plan on doing a full write up when I have more time, probably during the summer. But, I thought I would just get a quick blip out there. Recently I got my dad's vintage gear referbished. (Phase Linear 4000, and a Harmon Kardon Citation 16) The gear was basically not working. After some discovery I found two great guys who own their own restoration shops. I love small privatly owned businesses by Americans following their passion, and do a great job. So for the amp i sent it off to Big Sky Audio in Montana http://www.bigskyaudiomt.com/ Rick is the owners name and a great guy who loves to help.
The preamp went to Circle Stereo in Texas http://www.circlestereo.com/ Bill, the owner, another great guy who is really funny.
Prices, I thought were great, it almost cost more to ship it than fix it.
Both did a fantastic job bringing 1975 gear back to perfect working condition. I write a more detailed "story" later.
So Bill and Rick if you are listening. I know I have thanked you a lot, so one more time won't hurt.
Thank you.

Wow. You can't beat a guy who restored his own first!
The Citation 16 was the first real "performance" amp I ever heard.
I still remember the demo clearly. I wonder how it compares Vs.
the original?"The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbour to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg." --Thomas Jefferson -
You know it really. For all that the new stuff has to offer, it is missing that warm flare of the 1970's. I am not old enough to know what it was like, the charecter of this gear is amazing. There is nothing like the phase linear and the citation 16. If you can find the right person to restor it. It is great. My Gear

Sucks2beme,
I don't really know what it sounded like. For most of my life, my dad had it pact up. I broke it out when I was in my Junior and Senior year. And at my graduration party we had it kickin. But my dad decided to push it and the bose 901 series II to hard on that 100 degree day, and fried everything. So since the summer of 2001 all of it was broke, and pact up. Now that I am out of College and on my third year of teaching I descided to spend the money and get it all refurbished. So now all I have left is the Dual TT, and get some new speakers, since one bose is blown and the other sounds...not as good as I was hoping.
And it is really cool to think that now I may have a family heirlom (spelling?) in my audio equiptment. My Gear
