Blue Jeans Cable

This company has been mentioned a few times on this forum, and today (Saturday) I found myself needing a special cable, so I gave them a try.

Since I have 2 Dac1s I decided to put together a simple headphone based system for work. So, I ordered a new iPod, Wadia docking station, and headphones to go with my Dac1. Yesterday, the headphones arrived so I put everything in a bag and bought it into work today. Although I despise working on Saturday (cuts into my Friday night beer drinking), I was looking forward to listening to music today.

At work when I went to attach the Wadia (RCA digital out) to the basic Dac1 I realized it was not going to work. While my Dac1 Pre has RCA inputs, the basic Dac1 only has a BNC input, and I only had a RCA-RCA digital cable.

Coincidentally, a couple of weeks ago I was investigating a Berkely Audio DAC and noticed it only had a BNC digital input. I wrote them about where to get a cable, and they referred me to Blue Jeans.

So, this morning I placed an order for a 2' RCA-BNC cable, and I just received an email that is was just shipped.

If the cable works half as well as their ordering and shipping department then I will be very happy.

You'll also be pleasantly surprised by how quick it ships too.

I ordered Thursday, got an e-mail saying my cables had shipped on Friday and it arrived on Saturday.

I live in Ohio....and they are shipping from Washington. Good job USPS and Blue Jean cable :)

I've been a Blue Jeans customer for a couple of years now after a buddy referred me to them. I always go back. Hope the cable works well for you.

I ordered this cable Saturday morning, Saturday afternoon I received an email it was shipped, and today (Monday) it was on my front porch when I came home. It looks well made, and I will try it out tomorrow at work. This reminds me of an old Three Stooges episode where they had a gas station, and provided "Super Service". In my mind, this was certainly super service.

Why didn't you get a BNC to RCA adapter. Use them all the time. Not much to get in the way with these things. $3.99

Not a bad idea. To late now, but having a cable is one less connection in the chain.

Damn. I haul all my equipment to work, attach the Wadia iTransport to the Dac1, plug in the headphones, start the iPod playing, and nothing. Nada. Zippo. No music no matter what I do. This blankety, blank, blank POS ....... Oops. I forgot to plug in the Wadia. Never mind. It works and sounds great. :)

There should be a small ziplock bag with the adapter and some spare fuses.
