I'm selling my 125.2. I purchased this new and it has been well cared for. This has been the baby of my system since I got it.

Specs state as follows (in the manual)

140 watts/channel @ 8 ohms
185 watts/channel @ 4 ohms
THD .09%
Frequency Response 5Hz-45kHz
Damping Factor 100
Peak to Peak Current 30 Amps
Dynamic Headroom 1.4dB
S/N 95dB

Hopefully the pics turn out ok on the forum, if they even show up! There is one small "smudge" on the front faceplate. I couldn't get it to come out in the pics but it's by the power button. I call it a "smudge" because it's not a scratch at all. You can only see it in the right light but it won't come off with cleaning so it's there. Probably happened in one of my moves.

I'd like to get $400 plus shipping. I know of other B&K amps that haven't been moving but they are usually second/third owners or demos.

In case you can't send a pm email me at home. galbraith@tds.net

I do have the box, power cord and manual.

I'd be willing to bet you're also thinking about selling something here on the forum soon...

Can't beat this amp for the price. B&K builds great quality stuff and this would last for 20 years without any problems. Good luck with the sale.

Very Fair Price. I have 2 of theses amps (bought in the Flea Market) and paid $400+ for each. Solid Amp and Solid Performer. Of course, I'm a B&K fan.

    Good luck with the sale,
    Scott

Someone needs to pick this up before I end up buying another piece I don't really need. I have a B&K pre in the bedroom and will probably have it for another 10 years. As Gebby said, B&K is built for decades of great use.

    Good luck with the sale.

Thanks for the kind words! I will miss this since it was the first, in my opinion, really "nice" piece of gear I purchased "new". But..., sell gear to get gear. (who was it that said that?)

A couple of questions as I have never heard a B&K amp...

    1. What is the audiophile term for the "sound" of B&K (ex. warm, bass heavy, etc, etc,)?
    2. I this bad boy considered better for H/T or 2-channel or both?

Very nice amp by the way. I am interested.

For me I'd call it just a tad on the warmer side of neutral. Bass is full and solid. Not sure if it's the absolute last word in detail but it does pretty well in this area.

I have reference series which may have a slightly different signature sound than the ST though I've read good things about the st series.

Questions 2 is more subjective I'd say.

Sorry I didn't get back right away, I've been working.

    Anyway to your questions.

Question #1 - I'm no audiophile (don't make enough dough for that) but I have heard that B&K amps tend to lean to the warm side. As for me it's harder to answer, personally. I like it since it's not in your face until you want it to be, sort of speak. It will roll up the decibel levels quickly but not at all on the harsh side. Just a very nice sound. Phipiper is spot on.

Question #2 - Wouldn't know exactly how to answer that one. I've always been a 2 channel kind of guy and never paid much attention how things do with surround stuff. Critical listening always came with 2 channel. I know with this area it shines.

I was thinking about putting this up on A'gon this weekend but if you want me to hold off that's fine. Either way let me know.

One more question (I know this gets asked a bunch on this forum) but is this amp "Common Ground" so I can use with my SDA's?

    Thanks!
    Eric.

I have no clue having never owned SDA's. I haven't heard of B&K having problems with SDA's however. You might want to ask someone who would know for sure.

Sorry I couldn't help you with that one. I know the question comes up CONSTANTLY and while some amps have problems I just don't know.

I'll hold off for the weekend, until you can get your info, for the A'gon listing.

No, go ahead and put it on Agon. I would hate to hold you up and then me not buy it from you.
It is a very nice amp and it will sell fast on Agon. Thanks again.

I'm a patient guy, besides, it's just sitting the box. I'll wait until after the weekend to list it. Hopefully someone will chime in the "common ground" issue for you!

I am dropping the price on this once again, reluctantly...

$325 plus shipping or $350 with shipping included, depending on which is cheaper for YOU.

If it still doesn't sell here then I'll probably just hang on to it (or let it rot in the box). My wife is tired of seeing it lay around..., doing nothing.
