Anybody heard of Physicians Health Group?

I'm 25 and healthy and very rarely ever go to the doctor. Maybe once every three years. But thats mainly because I don't have insurance..

They called me today and said they could offer me health benefits (not insurance) for $69.00 a month. Is this good. I would like to have insurance so I thought I might look into it..

You will be paying $877 a year, just to get a discount? Seems at your age, it would be cheaper to just pay cash. And what do you do if your service provider doesn't participate?

If you do have a real issue, you need insurance. For example, last year I had an MRI and a CAT scan, total charges were about $8000, even at 45% off, you would owe a ton of money.

    Very true.

    I think I'll pass.

I was doing a little research and it looks like I can get actual insurance for about $50.00 a month from Anthem Blue Shield and others....

The only real reason for interest was I would like to get braces and maybe my back looked at. Neither I can really afford on my own...
