What I don't get is how do these guys think they are not going to be noticed when you click the new post button, and their screen name is on half the threads. Then they post for sale right at 26 posts? Do these people really think that they are going to get respect:confused:

The point is that you have contributed ZERO to this forum by posting 25 meaningless posts in multiple threads.

25-post count is there for a reason. Go to ebay.

I am sure that the Polk folks who sponser this board just love reading your post here.....this type of reply is MUCH worse than a post by someone just trying to sell POLK stuff........

Try rereading half of your posts and show me where they are audio/Polk related................have a great weekend...................

Y'know, so what if the guy's just trying to make a sale! He's in the right place to find someone who might want a deal on some Polk speakers. I get sick of all the pretentious nonsense about the post counts. You know how he's contributing? By allowing people at a Polk forum the chance to buy some Polk speakers.

Get over yourselves, people. This **** is getting old. Maybe some of these people would stick around if you weren't being so damnably inhospitable.

What's getting old is people coming on here to simply hock their goods. Don't like it? Don't let the door knob hit ya in the ****....

This is the FORUMS Flea Market; not Ebay, Audiogon, or craigslist. Again, some people feel the rules just don't apply to them, wrong answer.

    Good luck on your sale.

Personally I think the post count should be raised to 100. Most people just here to hock their goods wouldn't bother...the desired effect.

It's real simple, if you want to be disingenuous, simply take your junk to ebay, craigslist, or audiogon. 3 lines, no waiting.

BTW, the speakers are sold. I had already been working a deal with him through his ad on Craigslist before he listed here. I won't take sides on the 25+1 post argument but I do hope he can look past some of the comments here and become a participating member of the forum. Transaction was smooth and the speakers are MINT......and best of all, I'm one step closer to 7.1.

100 would certainly cut down on the quick post and sells.....OR
we would have 100's of threads about nada from people getting their post numbers up ;)

I'm not saying you guys shouldn't say something when it's obvious someone's coming in here to sell stuff... but if you're so hateful about it, there's no way they'll stick around. It doesn't really do anyone any good except to stoke people's self-righteous ire. And let's be honest, if you don't want to buy from someone with 26 posts, ignore the thread and so long as the rest of you follow the forum rules, the thread will be off the first page lickity split - no worries - and that person will move on.

Congrats on the sale, Michael. Stick around and join in on some discussions. I swear that when these guys aren't being so vicious to new members, a few of them can actually say something worth reading. ;)

I'm seriously considering grabbing one of the SC-07's before they're gone at decent pricing, moving the Sony 5.1 AVR to a second setup and selling my Adcom. If the Pioneer is as good as everyone is saying, I won't need the Adcom any more.

I also need a good Blu Ray player. I see that some are waiting for the Oppo or the Pioneer Elite. I may be able to get a B stock Sony player from a Sony Engineer. Not sure which way to go. All I know is that I want the HD audio format experience.

I think they are a fantastic speaker. I've been holding out for another set of them rather than going with a smaller model like the FXi5 etc. mainly because I wanted an exact match for the rest of the system and because I'll never forget an in-store demo of 3 Polk Center channel speakers side by side that convinced me of the fact that there is a noticeable difference in Polk's top-end speakers when compared to their lower models. At the time, the CS400 was the highest end of the three and I was blown away by the improvement in fine detail at each step up. There were parts of the demo sound track that could be heard in the CS400 that simply weren't there in the lower end center channels.

I have them set in di-pole mode which is Polk's most recommended setting. I have them mounted about 6 feet high. I honestly have not tested sound tracks with them in both modes to see what the difference is. I also don't know where I have them XO'd. At this point I've let the AVR do that. Speaker size is set to large in the AVR. I can tell you that the RT3000 subs are XO'd at 80Hz and my PSW1000 blends best with the system when set at 60Hz.

Oh blow it out your corn hole. This is not a forum for selling goods:eek:. Try EBAY, audiogon, craigslist or other sales sites. It would be great if people were here to actually share and not just join to hock goods. If you can't figure out that it is like a family here, and that a lot of the people that complain are participating members that do spend their time helping others you would understand that;) BTW I don't see people being hateful, and the seller has even acknowledged his intentions. As for the seller it would be nice if you actually stuck around, and learned/shared something of value. The intention of the FM is for Polkies, and not fly by nighters.
    Thanks for your valued opinion.

I'm so happy I found the ignore list. Though in my mind, it will always be the "**** nozzle" list. You guys really need to keep up the whole junior high school-grade-paranoid-angsty-hateful-clique crap. It's very gen-x. Comments in the for sale forum like "this is not a forum for selling goods" just make me fall out of my chair laughing. They really do. Convinces me these people are talking just to hear themselves, but even they don't listen to themselves because they're so childish and boring.

One thing I definitely won't be buying now, due to his attitude here, is ben62670's cables. Congrats dude, you lost multiple sales. I'd use lamp cord and monster before I bought from you. And considering that I found out about your cables through this forum, where you posted some for sale, well, the hypocrisy is mind-boggling, to say the least.

There. Now I've had my say. From now on, anyone that **** because someone posted something for sale, but had not yet begged the approval of the great and mighty Polk Forum Clique Leaders goes on the **** nozzle list and then we can all just ignore each other and life will be beautiful, birds will sing, and just perhaps, upon occasion, the heavens will open and an angel will deign to sing the occasional hosanna, that we may bask in the glory.

Learn how the forum works. No Clique here just Polkies looking out for Polkies.
