No Mothers Day card for her.
My kids get on my nerves sometimes, but I would NEVER do anything like that to them.
I hope she gets all she deserves by the courts.

I can remember Dad pulling over MANY times and telling us the same thing...we were 3 boys always fighting....and it seems the one sitting in the middle always caught that flyin back hand that came from the drivers seat ;)

Feelin' that! I come from a family of six kids and a Chevy cargo van. If Dad missed, Mom was there to finish off with swing from the passenger seat.
If I ducked Dads, she'd be there with the upper-cut from the floorboard.

I got dumped out a 1/2 mile from the house. Of course, when you live on the farm, that will still next to our property. So technically, I was already home!
And walking home from there sure beat the alternative.

    HAHAHAHA......

MANY MANY MANY a family vacations were spent on the side of the highway with one of us kids kicked out with mom driving 100 yards or so down the road.......and if we didn't get to the car quickly, she'd drive another 30 - 40......

And she wonders why I won't let her drive when I'm with her.........hahaha.......

Even though I do not have kids of my own I can understand what she did and feel a little bit of sympathy for the kids but honestly I would just have pulled over and beat the life out of the children instead. When I was a kid I got the backhand alot from my mother and that was that, I never did it again. Parents are so afraid today of DCFS being called on them that they are afraid to do anything to make their children act accordingly. Not to mention these PC freaks that condemn them if they do. I could talk about this all day, but you guys don't want me to...

When I was raising my son who's now 22, the 'threat' of force was enough! When he was very young and got out of hand, I'd demonstrate the 'strength' difference between the two of us, gently...perhaps I'd pick him up and invert him briefly and hold him for a few seconds with one hand! Nothing damaging--but awe-inspiring. After one or two of those demos when fairly young. It stuck. No further 'action' was needed.

I suppose I may have been out of line by PC standards, but I stand by my methods! He's an incredibly responsible young man working in his first job in the Big City after graduating with honors from college and making a great salary

What's really scary is the 3.2% who voted that they don't know what they would do. And the story further down about the disabled girl found dead in a bag of mothballs! WTF?
