Just saw them in concert last night at the Air Canada Center in Toronto. Wow, my GF is a huge fan and after the show so am I!! I had heard that they were southern fried posers, with the big hair and leather jackets but any band that can put on a straight out rock show like that has got my respect. All the playing was super tight, especially the drummer! Despite all the screaming teenage girls and drunk varsity dudes in attendance this show was well worth it. If anyone who is into rock has a chance to see them on this tour don't be fooled by some of the critics out there, these guys are the real deal, go see them!!!

Um, Kings of Leon is from the UK. Why would you think they were from the South?

Also, they have something like 8 albums out plus another 8 in compilations and live performances I think it is. They have been around a while and they are huge in the UK and a good chunk of Europe too.

Well, actually, now that I look, they are from the South. But southern rock? Hardly. They do have a massive following in Europe though.

KoL released their first album in 2003, they now have four studio albums. Their first two albums do indeed have a southern twang to them. Since they put out "Because of the Times" in 2007, they lost most of the twang and are now more straight ahead rock. I didn't realize they were so big in Europe, but it seems they have been for a few years now.

Interesting. I saw them on late-night TV a few years ago, and liked what I heard. I finally got around to getting their CDs, bought the 1st 3 CDs, and said "WTF". I guess I need to buy the 4th CD.

Yea, the 1st three cds were bad (IMO), but the 4th really has some catchy songs.. You will find yourself singing most of the cd..
And they are from Tennessee not UK lol.

Maybe in the U.S. but I know they have many more albums from the U.K. Amazon has numerous imports, 3 or 4 pages. That's a few more than 3 or 4 albums.

Nope just 4 albums. When they release albums else where bands add and subtract songs and sometimes call it something different.
And alot of those are singles.

I really like KoL but the overall lineup is hit or miss. I'm digging the new album.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

For those with Palladia (formerly MTV/VH1 HD/Music High Def) there is a 30 minute spot in there. Good clean fun rock. Been meaning to buy an album for years...

I suggest the first, Youth and Young Manhood....and the current to get a feel for them.

My favorite two are the middle two: Aha Shake Heartbreak and Because of the Times.

Aha Shake Heartbreak is my number 1 if I had to rank them, but everyone that's a fan seems to have their own favorite album.
