Is HK 3490 (120 watt/ch) enough for Monitor 70?

Hi,
I'm looking to buy my first home audio setup. I've learned so much from this forum, but sadly can't listen to any of the speakers and receivers where I'm at. So I'm basing many things from the internet and internet advice....
Anyway, I'm planning on getting the HK 3490 mainly because it's the only stereo receiver that has digital optical inputs. (For my PS3).
However, I also noticed that many stereo recievers don't go past 150 watts/channel. This HK pushes 120 watts/ch. Will this be enough for the Monitor 70s?

yes.Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks

I agree with Ender and Ben, the operating range of the 70's is 20-275W I believe so 120ish will be just fine. I use an Onkyo TX-SR806 which is listed at 130W per channel and my 70's sound great. They could always benifit from external amplification, but not a must like with the LSi's or other power hungry speakers. Welcome to Club Polk, and enjoy those 70's.HT Rig

HK rate their power true to the spec....HK 120w/ch is better than most mid level receiver power rating.....Video: LG 55LN5100/Samsung LNT4065F

That receiver is enough to drive the LSi series, I think it'll handle the Monitor 70
