Im looking at buying a b&k amp without a 12v trigger. Is there a way to still use my pre amp to turn it on?? Just seems like a pain to always have to go turn it on.
Thanks in advance
Ryan

Give me a B&K amp and i will have no problem getting up to turn it on.
You only have to turn it on one time then turn it off one time. not that hard :p

Some amps like the HK PA2000 can also turn on when sensing a signal on the rca inputs, you may want to check and see if the B&K amp you're looking at supports that.

Whatever you do, don't use the switched outlet on the back of your receiver to get the job done.

They also make some power boxes with a remote, so you may look into that option as well.

Sears sell a current triggered outlet that uses 1 outlet to turn on the other 2 outlets. Requires and AVR to pull enough current to trigger the 2 outlets on. My AVR does and turns on my 2 amps.

I use a Monster HTS3500 power center to turn on my amps in sequence, since they have no 12v triggers.

Another option would be a smart power strip:

Like the Monster the PS Audio Quintet will accept 12v trigger input to switch certain plugs on.
