Thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Hugh Jackman, Nicole Kidman. Recounts Australia's involvement in WWII and it's effects on its society. Definitely rent, possibly buy.

Yeah, I liked it too, although some of the visual effects - large ships docked in port for example - were pretty poorly done. Took a bit away from the film for me, but all in all, a good flick.

Yeah! Like the movie but I feel the plot is dragging too long. It was entertaining and interesting but when I thought it's over, it just keeps on going and going so kind of like boring from the middle. But good ending nonetheless!

The cinematography had an old-school academy award feel to it. I liked the link of "Somewhere over the rainbow" I thought that was classy. Definitely something different from the norm. Many movies are just so predictable anymore.

    If...
Ron dislikes a film = go out and buy it.
Ron loves a film = don't even rent.

I've had it for a while on DVD but haven't had time to view it yet. So this review might help it find itself into my player soon.

Yeah! It's a much better flick than others these days and somewhat educational than others. I am really sick of no content (rub my belly to laugh kind of flicks) new releases so I had suspended my NetFlix and Blockbuster account for 3 months.

We watched the first hour this weekend and had trouble getting into it. I will finish watching it but already regret buying it. Maybe I will be pleasantly surprised by what so far is very predictable.
