My son forced me to go with him to the Dallas International Guitar Festival this Saturday but what a treat it was. Anybody in the Dallas area should make a point to visit this next year if you enjoy good rock/blues guitar bands. This was my first time to go but I am already looking forward to next year and plan to visit all 3 days of it. There were 4 or 5 stages with different people performing all day long. Some of the top names were Eric Johnson, Johnny A, Rhett Butler, Bugs Henderson, Johnny Hiland, and Rick Derringer. There are also tons of new and vintage guitars for sale, many of them available for testing out. My son, who is 16, was able to play guitars costing as much as $6000. The best part for me was sitting back listening to tons of live music. Anyone been to this before?

I'm surprised that you did not hear it in Plano. It was extremely loud. They have it at Market Hall and this was the 32nd year I believe. It is supposed to be the largest and oldest in the world. There were actually over 50 performers over the 3 day period, several perform on multiple days. I will post something next year to let you know.
