No, I use mine a lot everyday and it's at current version levels. I don't believe it has ever shut down on me. Having said that, I worked on a friend's computer last week that had an earlier variant of the Conflicker worm and IE kept shutting down (friend did not have Firefox). All fixed now. I'd do a Spyware check if I were you.Sony 60'' SXRD 1080p

You could always save your bookmarks, uninstall it, then reinstall it and import your bookmarks. That would at least eliminate Firefox as a cause.Sony 60'' SXRD 1080p

Anyone else havin trouble with firefox.....
I have had intermittent problems with Firefox and Internet Explorer. I have since updated and running Symantec Antivirus
(version 10.0.2.2001 SE 81.3.0.13 Definitions 04/19/2009 Rev5). In addition to Malware Anti-Spyware.
I have recently downloaded GOOGLE CHROME. At first glance it is quite nice. I'll need more time to run it thru.
Good Luck on your issue. -

didn't have any probs with it shutting down.....it was just acting weird ....using the scroll button on the mouse made the page enlarge in stead of scrolling...it only lasted for a bit tho -
Mine crashes every time I try to use the "History" to get to a previously viewed page.

I don't know what spyware / virus monitoring and removal software you use but update that software to the latest available version first. The outdated spyware checker usually does not detect the newly created spyware or malware or virus. After update, try running the spyware checker and see that makes any difference.
I've been using FireFox and seems quite stable to me.Trying out Different Audio Cables is a Religious Affair. You don't discuss it with anyone.:biggrin: -
I use Firefox and Internet Explorer. No problems at all.
You may want to try "Shields Up" to scan your computer for any vulnerabilities if you suspect a virus. http://www.grc.com/intro.htm"The good thing about science is that it's true whether or not you believe in it." Neil deGrasse Tyson. -
FF has seemed buggy lately, so I've switched over almost entirely to Chrome which imported the bookmarks just fine. I've gone back in time to get an older version when an update has FF has gone buggy in the past, now I just wait for the fix. .or not. . Chrome is working very well.-Ignorance is strength -

Haven't been having any problems with FF on three different computers.

What I meant by buggy: it's only been on certain sites and mostly on page direction from within an API. The site I use for work often won't page correctly foward and back without a 20 second or more pauses/freezes even with a clear cache and resending Post data. I've noticed on a couple of other sites as well, like ebay. This may not be an issue with FF, but the sites themselves. I refuse to use Explorer, but it's almost like FF is being throttled or intentionally timed out or put in a waiting position by certain sites. . . I don't know how else to explain it, and don't know what is causing it. It works fine on Polk, although to me the font looks cleaner in Chrome.-Ignorance is strength -

Not to hijack someone's thread but if you hold the CTRL key down (on purpose or accidentally), the mouse scroll wheel enlarges or shrinks the screen as you roll it back and force.Sony 60'' SXRD 1080p

I have been using Firefox for about the last 8 weeks, ended up going back to Exploder. Firefox kept slowing down on me, would occasionally freeze up, and the mouse didn't act right.Source: Bluesound Node 2i - Preamp/DAC: Benchmark DAC2 DX - Amp: Parasound Halo A21 - Speakers: MartinLogan Motion 60XTi - Shop Rig: Yamaha A-S501 Integrated - Shop Spkrs: Elac Debut 2.0 B5.2
