Polk RM7 Power Handling
Hey guys new to the forums, lots of great info here. I tried doing a search for the RM sats but it said no results? Anyway i have 4 RM7's for my rears and two RM8's for front left and right and a RM8 center. Basically just wonderin if anyone else has them and to what there runnin them from? Im wanting to upgrade my receiver soon and im looking at the Pioneer VSX-1018, anyone know if that would be to much for these little guys?

Give it more time man:) In the mean time I'll give you my lowly imput:D What receiver are your currently running? I don't know the specifics on the 1018, but you main conscern should be if it has a xover, which I'm pretty sure it does. You don't want too much bass going to the RMs. What kind of sub will you be using? What does all of your set up include(source/power/etc.)? The more info you give, the more people will be able to help. From what little I know it shouldn't be too much for the RMs if the crossover is set correctly. Good luck::)Sony 40" LCD

Thanx for the reply! Im currently running a ...... dunno if i even wanna tell u guys lol an ollllddd aiwa AV-D98 rated at 80 wpc x5, highly doubt it tho. It does not have a crossover however i run the rm's with the bass allll the way down on it and i adjust the subs. As for the subs i have a polk psw111 its alright i guess. I have two other ten inch subs hooked up. Originally they are car subs but in a sealed box in the house they sound pretty good runnin off an old klh 100 watt sub amp. The 1018 does have a crossover and i believe is rated at 110 wpc x 7. There has been some confusion about the 1018 and its power specs as they push the advertisement showing 130 wpc but thats at 1khz but 110x7 20- 20000 soo ya i dunno the way they rate these things is hilarious. The reason i am curious about the rm's power handling is because the rm8's i think are 125 and the rm7's only 100.... so just wanting to make sure.
