STEAL!!!
For those who are either afraid to go separates or have a budget, this 2-channel receiver will handle your LSis or SDAs and make them sing. Those are REAL watts tested from 20-20k, not @ 1k. Plenty of current and really sounds great with Polks.
I use the 3380 in my 2.1 sota HT. It's driven SDA 2As, 2Bs, Mon 7As/10As, RTA 8TLs, RTi70s, Ohm Walsh 2s, several Advents and has never even gotten warm. I've even run two pair of 4 ohm speakers, simultaneously on A&B without any issues. Oh, and it's been on 24/7 since April 2005, mainly because the cabinet it's in is solid wood and the remote can't penetrate. I'll get some glass doors made some day.
This is a great price, I don't care if you can find one on Ebay or other virtual site. This is from CP's FM and from an established/reputable member.(don't make a liar out of me Wizzy)

Pics? I may be down if everything is in good shape, just need some pics.

Here are five photos.
The four of the front are with and without flash. I tried to get the flash to "enhance" the scratches (as in make them the most obvious) and those white specs near the volume knob are the lints from the paper towel I used to wipe it off.
The pics without flash are as clear as I could get them. It helps show how much the flash effect had bringing out the bad stuff. To be honest in the other direction, the lack of flash and slight fuzziness probably help diminish them.
Once you get off-level and your face back about two feet it looks no where near like what the flash close ups show.
Honestly I didn't see 3/4ths of that stuff until I got it up and started staring at it to take pics ... -
Here's another shot of the front area.
This time I set the camera on something, set the timer so I wouldn't be anywhere near it, and lowered the ISO to 50.

I might be interested in this also. This has pre outs and a subwoofer out right? They are covered by the black caps right now it looks like.

Just thought I would post a big pic of the back of the receiver.

I would like to purchase this. Can't PM you because I don't have 10 posts yet (if you don't want to sell to 'strangers' I'd understand. You can email me at Darknb@yahoo.com . Your sale was highly recommend by fellow forum members here: http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=81888
Please let me know. - Justin -

Yep, it has sub outs.
I'm honestly not sure how it compares to a 8555, and as the seller it would probably be inappropriate for me to make a call on that. -
The H/K is a more powerful amp than the Onkyo. And I would add the better amp.
There, I'll comment for you wizzy. There are very few stereo receivers that can compete with this H/K in its price range period. And it is one of the only ones that can really handle 4 ohm speakers...

Hi, What are the shipping costs? I'm new to this stuff and am looking for a receiver for classical music listening. Everyone on the site says this is the one to get. I wondered why the stuff at Best Buy sounded so awful. I just didn't realize I wanted stereo. The shipping doesn't need to be fast or anything, but I would like it to be insured. Email is hlteed@hotmail.com

Even decent stuff at Best Buy often sounds bad. Not set up properly, lousy acoustics, **** wiring, bad demo speakers....I could continue this forever. The place drives me nuts.
Besides all the H/Ks there are usually AVRs and not Stereo H/K. Most of the H/K AVRs cannot really handle 4 ohm loads like the stereo receiver mentioned above can. Also remember if you have a crappy sub 100 dollar DVD player playing your music there's only so much a receiver can do to improve it? Believe me the H/K above sounds fine!
