So what is coming out this year that is supposed to be good or great? I haven't heard much buzz this year in the gaming industry. Last year was a killer year I thought.

Anybody have "That" game that they are waiting for?

Here's my quick list of stuff that has my interest:

    1) Prototype - Open world like GTA, but looks like it has all the best parts of Hulk: Ultimate Destruction. The Web Of Intrigue stuff, where you learn new parts of the plot by absorbing people, looks like a great way of pushing the story forward. Looks to be a great single player experience.

    2) Ghostbusters - All the footage I've seen so far looks great, and they have the original cast and writers involved. The team making this have done some good stuff, so I'm optimistic.

    3) Dark Void - I'm slightly on the fence on this one, but if they pull off the transitions from jetpack to ground combat well, this could be a surprise hit. Early footage looks good.

    4) Bioshock 2 - If you're not dying to play this game, you clearly didn't play the first one. Getting to play as the original prototype Big Daddy and dual-wield plasmids with weapons... SOLD!

    5) Brutal Legend - The genius of Psychonauts' Tim Shafer with the rock/comedy awesomeness of Jack Black. Looks to be a fun game.

    6) Modern Warfare 2 - Who isn't jonesing for this game? 'Nuff said.

    7) Mass Effect 2 - If they get it out this year, this will be the one I'm looking forward to most. The original was fantastic, and it looks like they're improving the combat system. Will not only buy day one, I'll probably take a day off from work. :P

Games that have my interest but we don't know enough about yet: The Saboteur, Aliens: Colonial Marines, Dante's Inferno, Splatterhouse, Singularity, Alpha Protocol, Batman: Arkham Asylum.

All in all, it looks to be a pretty damn good year for gaming!

    Looking forward to:

    1) Fight Night Round 4. Cmon Tyson and Ali.....would like to play that matchup.

    2) Bioshock 2.......... No need for words.

    3) COD4:Modern Warfare 2...is this COD6? Who the freak knows. It will be the biggest game of 2009.

    4) Halo3:ODST...Looks interesting

    5) Tiger Woods 10. EA made huge strides in last years release, looking forward to the new installment.

Wow... you may be the first person I've seen who wasn't sucked in by Bioshock! Definitely give it more time. Once you get far enough into it to get the invisibility plasmid (which you can only do by saving all the little sisters) and get the camera to do research, that game is brilliant. Not to mention it has one of the best stories I've ever seen in a game (which makes me think they MIGHT actually pull off the movie well since they actually have good source material to work with).

Ya, I got to like level three... I need to play it more!

Thanks for the encouragement.. i was pretty excited before playing it, then it just got annoying. Had the hardest times killing the big daddy's (Only killed like 3 I think) and just kept dying every few minutes.

The concept was fascinating, i will give it another go around! (Once I beat FEAR 2 that is!!! HA HA)

Lol. Do you play much FPS games? OR did you set the difficulty on hard? Big daddies are surely annoying, but if you got the fingers and the strategy for them, they aren't bad at all.

    Actually I do.

I just don't think I really gave it a good enough chance. I got a couple other ones for my birthday and started playing those. Dead Space totally sucked me in and then FEAR 2 now.

But, before I buy another game, I will play thru Bio Shock. :)

Dead Space is one of the shittiest pc ports i've seen in a long time...mostly just because of the ridiculously **** control customization options.

Lol. I'm too scared of playing FEAR 2 or Dead Space.

You have to at least play Bioshock through the kick-in-the-nuts climax. After that, you can take a break. I am right now. Once I got to the climax in the story, I took a break. I will go back to it when I feel like wasting another 6 hours a day in my life. Lol.

    1. UFC undisputed (played the demo, and it is easily the best fighting game ever)
    2. Fight night round 4

My list is pretty unimaginative, but all of these should turn out to be great games, with great replay value.
