Box or infinite?

I'm installing a set of MM6501's in my boat. The panels the speakers mount too are open in the back, and the speaker is close to the edge, so I'm afraid the sound waves are going to wrap back around to the front and cancel out some frequencies. Should I build a box (enclosure) for the 6" speaker? What size box?

    You should ask on the cult of infinite baffle forum. They are pros at it. I would think you should be fine unless you are using the 6 as a sub. But for full range from what I have heard on the cult forum you should be ok.
