I am about to purchase the 4 surrounds of my 7.2 system.

Should I go with all FXi-A6s or should I use to of them as
the side surrounds and 2 RTi-A3s as the rear surrounds, or
vise versa?

And what setting should the FXi-A6s be?

a room diagram would help in giving advice. some rooms may have better acustics for dipoles vs wall/stand mounts

I have the rti a3's as my rear surrounds and they do a good job when there is a source providing sound. I use plIIx to process to 7.1 or ultra 2, but imho there really isn't enough material playing through the back surrounds to judge if a dipole would make a difference, even though I personally have not tested that. I just think that it may not make a huge difference either way you go. I would probably go the cheaper route

Larry, do you run your surrounds in Di-pole or Bi-pole? Which way sounds better for you? What kind of difference in sound will I notice?
