If I have my subwoofer connected to the subwoofer pre-out and my tv connected thru ANY (hdmi, composite, component) video output there is a buzzing noise. If the pre-amp'd output is disconnected the hum goes away and if I unplug the video output the hum goes away. Assistance in this matter would be appreciated.

Sounds like a ground loop problem, very common with video gear/cables. Try switching equipment to different outlets that are on different circuits, if possible, there are also some devices available at www.part-express.com (cheater plugs) that are supposed to help with this...haven't used them...so you'll have to wait for the guys to come in on this one.

Thank you for the response. I ran an extention cord from another part of the house and the hum was still present. I also tryed two different subs and tested all the pre amp'd outs. It seems any combination of pre-amp outs and monitor outs cause the unit to hum.
I bought this unit as a refurb from the HK ebay store. I emailed them and they are suppose to respond withing two days. I am just worried because they state they will not cover the cost of shipping but hopefully they will if it is infact a defective unit. -
I might also try putting the sub on a power conditioner. Something like an APC H15. I have seen them going on ebay for about $150. APC was selling off the white ones for $149 a while back.Sunfire TGP, Sunfire Cinema Grand, Sunfire 300~2 (2), Sunfire True Sub (2),Carver ALS Platinum, Carver AL III, TFM-55, C-19, C-9, TX-8, SDA-490t, SDA-390t
