Would this be a steal, deal, or meh?

I honestly know nothing about turntables and was hoping for some assistance. I would like to get into vinyl sooner or later and just noticed this TT in my area. For 70 bucks CDN should I be all over this thing even if I won't be using it immediately, or is it more of a POS?

Thanks for the advice.

DOH. Didn't notice the model number in the pic till just now. Quick search tells me this is a 'don't bother' scenario. Sorry for the wasted post.

Very very entry level. Low end of entry level. For that price you could get a good used Dual or a few bucks more a good used Technics. For a hundred bucks more you could get something you won't want to immediately upgrade. Be warned however, vinyl IS addictive. Very addictive. My two cents.

Lol, ya I'm planning on holding off on it for a bit unless something comes up. However, I did just find a pair of Lsi9's for 500 bucks CDN in my city! If they are in good shape....

    The LX250? Pass.

A couple of days ago, I saw Sony's LX350 at a local Fry's. The LX350 is actually a clone of Technics SL-1200, except the Sony is belt-driven. I have heard good things about the LX350, so I checked it out as a possible upgrade to my Technics SL-BD20. Sorry....my Technics is miles ahead of the LX350.

The Technics SL-BD20 can be picked up brand-new for a little over $100.00. And cheaper used on ebay. I think it's still made in Japan. If you're a beginner to vinyl, it'll make a great entry-level turntable.
