Phil Spector: guilty

I've just heard recently that after a very lengthy trial, Phil Spector has been convicted of second-degree murder.

From what I gathered about the incident with Lana Clarkson, he always seemed guilty to me.

But when I think about Phil Spector, I can't help but think back to the Let It Be sessions or least their post-production...kind of sad.

Any thoughts on this guy?

This guy is very strange indeed. He lives a few blocks away from me and is always in the neighborhood CVS (always with a hot blond in tow). He is even creepier in person than he looks on TV. He has a history of liking to play with guns, there is a bullet hole in a studio somewhere that was framed (picture frame) he made during a recording session. His obsession with guns got him into this mess.

Very strange. Very sad story. A woman is dead.

Didn't he stop being relevant in the 1980's? Sorry, too young to worry about his departure and he killed someone....what a great way to ruin your legacy. Do me a favor and save the Wikipedia information about what he did for me.

Adios Phil, thanks for being nuts enough to get put away. He pulled the gun **** during a recording session with John Lennon. Somebody should've just grabbed the gun, and beat the **** out of him. Maybe if they beat him around the head and shoulders they could've improved the looks of that rat/weasel looking ****.

Just looking at him, it seemed clear that he operated in his own universe. All that wealth can really enable someone to drift into a world with few consequences and pretty divorced from our own reality. Tragic result. And he got away with that gun mess for years...

Spector helped break up the Beatles. It wasn't instant Karma, but it was Karma nevertheless.

So he's done something good. Sorry, I hate the Beatles. I really have no idea who this guy is though... I'm probably too young.

Pulled the gun **** on The Ramones, as well. Forced Johnny Ramone to play the opening chord of Rock and Roll High School for over eight hours. Also held the entire group at gunpoint overnight and made them listen to him play Baby, I Love You on the piano over and over and over again.

I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

He's facing at 18 to life before parole. He's probably thinking right now about the "Wall of ****" waiting for him in prison.

He'll die in prison. I don't see him surviving 19 years in there. He'll be a pinata from day one.

He should have gone to prison just for ruining Let It Be. Listen to Let It Be... Naked, and you can appreciate just how much screwed up the original.
