So last night during a bout of insomnia I decided to carouse the bay for a while. I stumbled upon this. Yes it's expensive, yes it's insane, YES IT'S JAW DROPPING! Click the link(hopefully my HTML works) and just look.

So if you're in the market for SERIOUS power(and a divorce), buy these and tell us all about them.

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=330320856725
Onkyo TX-SR705 AVR
Onkyo M-501-Given to my father.
Onkyo DX-C730 CD Changer

Onkyo CP-1036A turntable with Grado, Audio Technique, and Azden cartridges(GOT CARTRIDGE??)
Polk Monitor 12's with RDO's and XO's
Polk CS300 Center
Polk Monitor Series 4 rears

EBAY is like cocaine. At first you only look, next thing you know, your house is full of crap you have no idea why you own.

A mere $30K and 1500 lbs! What would one run with that?

    Perhaps a multiplex theater?

Holie SHIZNIT Batman! those are impressive as all hell. A bit on the fugly/industrial side for my taste, but with enough juice to light up the Vegas Strip they should look industrial

How about Goldmund or Gryphon or Pass Labs or MAC or even Krell MRA?

Somebody Wants To Pay With Gold For An Amplifier?

Goldmund Telos5000 - make sure your bank can handle this one!

    http://www.goldmund.com/products/telos5000/

Nothing fall short of a Gold Mind!

This is a Beast of It's Own Class!

    http://www.gryphon-audio.dk/default2.asp

Class A power rating of 180W x 2 @ 8 ohm is a joke for this amp. 48 Sanken BJT for each channel can deliver 7000 Watts of Peak Power.

Of Coz, one of my favorite - Pass Labs x1000.5

    http://passlabs.com/pdf/product%20manuals/x1000.5om060524.pdf

Draws 6 amps at 120V for normal operation. Better Make sure you live next to a power plant. :D

And then MC2KW - Big Bad Blue MAC!

    http://www.mcintoshlabs.com/products/mcintosh-mc2kw-2000-watt-reference-power-amplifier.asp

Baddest Biggest Meanest MAC you could try taking a bite all day long but it won't even take your bite marks!

A Little Competition for Big MAC - Krell MRA

    http://www.krellonline.com/krell_component.php?id=30&page=MRA

May be not so little at 600LB each monoblock.

    LOL

Thats the best part of this ebay ad. The model kneeling next to those tubes - she has no idea what those things are. She's gotta be thinking "WTF is this thing?!"
Do you hear that buzzing noise?

Those are all hella impressive(especially the first one), but the Jadis is a tube amp! That alone is impressive to me. I don't think they have output transformers either, they just match output impedance by paralleling tubes(so re-tubing is gonna be EXPENSIVE AS S#$%!).

Yep! I am well aware of the Tube Amps. It's very very impressive Tube Amp. The Jadis in the discussion can use the transformer from the power station since it doesn't has one onboard. :D

I guess the owner needs to sign a contract with the tube factory for yearly delivery of fresh new tubes. :)

The ad says that one of their models will take you out to dinner, what happens after is strictly on the two of you. Not a bad deal, but those tube amps are very impressive. Way out of my league.

If you have the disposable cash for it, you probably have "people" who concern themselves with moving and installing it....
