ATS Acoustic Panel Treatment

Well, on the advice of several people I have been talking to, I installed some acoustic panels from ATS Acoustics. I have a very large, open room that had some real challenges as far as echos and standing waves go, so I decided that I would try these and see what the outcome might be. This is the first phase of what will be an ongoing trial to see what works and what doesnt.

The first phase produced some decent results. I noticed a a drop in echo in the room, even before playing the system. With music playing, there was a noticible drop in harshness from reflected sound coming off the back walls. Even the wife noticed how much cleaner the treble was.

I plan to add more panels on the walls opposite the main speakers, but this will be much more challenging due to the fact that it is a tall wall with weird dimensions. I also plan to add some custom made panels to a side wall that creates some bad reflections.

I will post more pictures and results as I add more panels. Also, the wife was really pleased with how it dressed up our living room wall.

Looks good, with all of that bare wall area I bet you did have some reflection/ slap echo issues in need of taming. The ATS panels appear to be good products for the money.

    Nicely done.
