Why is this man smiling? Yes, he is normally a happy fellow. But this night, upon his return from Iowa, he continues to upset the balance of SRT’s in the nation. Most of them are now located in New York. Doug (dkg999) was kind enough to meet and help Ed load them up. A great example of polkies helping other polkies.

Ed made a stop at my place in Illinois on his way back from Iowa. It was later than planned, dark, so I have no idea what I grilled, but he ate it. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the time to set up the SRT’s. So we just put the feed bag on, kicked back, spun some vinyl and listened to some digital before he continued on home. IIRC this is Ed’s 10th major road trip for audio gear. Hardcore!

Ed has this incredible passion for music and brought quite a sampling of CD’s along. His knowledge of music seems infinite. Dana and I thoroughly enjoyed your visit Ed! Hope you had a safe return trip.

It was good to see Ed again! Beautiful, well cared for set of SRT's that he picked up in Des Moines IA. Always happy to help another Polkie out!

Wish I had time to make a road trip to Rich's to say Hi to Ed again, but this has been a very busy end of week and weekend. Hopefully the next time he finds a pair of SRT's in the area we can shoot the ****. Glad things went well Ed, you had to great guys (Rich and Doug) helping you out.

That's not just a shirt with a Polk logo on it, it's a shirt from last years Polkfest. There's a little more meaning there.

I arrived safe and tired at 11:35 pm last Night.
This road trip was one of the best I've had.
What really made this trip worthwhile was seeing my friends again.
I'd like to thank doug for coming out. Your help and your company was greatly appreciated.
Rich and Dana, I'd like to thank Both for your warm reception.
Your hospitality will not be forgotten!

Never on the first man date, no dirt, some juicy gossip but we have a binding NDA, and we do have some internal pics of an SRT controller. Not sure if we can post that.

No NDA on this. Ed’s laptop has a strange way of navigating. And he encountered a substance in Iowa some folks in New York aren’t familiar with….mud.:D

Ed, are you missing a shoe insert? Found one in the drive the next morning. Want me to send it to you?

what??? Ed had his shoe stuck in a dark hole and the insert fell out in the driveway??? sounds pretty suspicious. likely Jack Daniels, a gasket and rim away were involved.

Funny stuff! Glad you guys had a good time! Rich, Ed, Brock, Doug are in the elite class of Club Polk members.

I've heard part of the SRT system at Ed's house. I'm going back to hear the complete system real soon.

I’d love to be there to hear that! He brought some music that reached as deep or deeper than my Telarc LP, Michael Murray/Bach - The Great Organ at Methuen. IIRC Ed said some of the music went to 16Hz. My speaks don’t go that low, so we were missing some low vibes. My gear did get a workout, and I’ll be looking to purchase some of the material he brought along.

I've been hiding in your basement since Polkfest.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.
